Abstract

"Imagine, if we could create a playbook around the 1st principles of Leadership Agility that could accelerate our journey as we discover and develop differentiating capabilities. This practical session on :Leadership Agility will shine a light on key capabilities and practices (in the form of Adventures) as we explore patterns tools, techniques and traps that will prepare us for our uniquely personal quest using a metaphor of "Envisioning and Planning a Trip to our Leadership Agility Future"....evocative of The Hero's Journey.

Bio

Pat Reed has 50+ years of experience and her name is synonymous with business agility and Adaptive Leadership. Pat works with executives across the world in organizations such as eBay, USAA, Walmart, Citrix and Cisco (in the US) and Suncorp, DHS, ASIO, Home Affairs and Foreign Affairs in Australia.....assisting them in new ways of breakthrough, thinking and working; designing new org structures and operating models and defining measureable value, product quality and creating differentiating customer value and more. Pat’s unique skills include transformational leadership, connecting strategy to delivery and solving impossible business challenges by leveraging deep domain knowledge of human behavior, patterns and design thinking; leveraging her background in behavioral and clinical psychology (Arapahoe Mental Health Center), design thinking (Disney), criminal justice (DCJ), criminal intelligence and forensics (CBI) and e-com (Gap Inc.) Pat leads Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programs in Agile Leadership in a program she designed and developed for UC Berkeley. Pat serves as a Director on the Agile Alliance Board and co-chaired the 2011 Agile Executive Forum with Jim Highsmith. She serves on the Executive Council on the Agile Leadership Network and is a frequent keynote speaker. She has earned an MBA & BS in Psychology (from the University of Illinois) and is active in PMI and the Bay Area Project Leaders Network, teaching at UC Berkeley Extension and consulting as principal agile management consultant with iHoriz.
